This process will help you disable Cortana in Windows 10
Lets first disable Cortana in the search menu.
Click on the Search Tool
Click on Settings
Move the slider to Off
Now search for a file called gpedit.msc
Click search
Type gpedit.msc in the search field. And double Click on qpedit.msc under Best match.
A new window called Local Group Policy Editor will open
Double Click on Administrative Templates
Double Click on Windows Components
Scroll down and click on Search. Then Double click on Allow Cortana
Change setting to Disabled Click Apply then OK and close the Local Group Policy Editor Window
Next step is to force the update
Type cmd in the search field
In the command prompt type qpupdate /force
You will see the policy update
Once completed just type exit and press Enter.
If you check Cortana again, you will see that Cortana has been
Disabled by Company Policy
